Visited the Capitol for Intellectual and Development Disabilities Day. I had the honor of being recognized in front of the Senate. The Senate passed the resolution, and I look forward to working with the House of Representatives to pass a resolution declaring March as Intellectual and Development Disabilities Awareness Month in Mississippi.
Participating in the annual Racin' for the Seed 5K and Duathlon benefiting The Mustard Seed. The race will be held on April 13, 2019.
Volunteer for Miracle League of Central Mississippi as a buddy for baseball games with special needs children in Ridgeland, MS. This field has been specially designed and upgraded for those with disabilities.
Visited the children attending their therapy sessions at Beyond Therapy. The Beyond Therapy team consists of a group of speech language pathologists, occupational therapist, and behavioral counselors. The mission of Beyond Therapy is to serve as a Beacon through which the works of God might be made visible by improving the quality of life for infants, toddlers, children and their families with the highest quality speech, physical and occupational therapy.
